Back home from Tennessee

Just got back from Tennessee last night and I am worn out...driving by yourself for hours can make you sleepy...before I start this blog I guess I should introduce you all to Gharry the gnome. As most of you know, most of my baseball trips are taken by just me, which leads to lots of boring pictures or no pictures at all. I decided to change things up a little bit and bring a friend...haha...Gharry the Gnome was purchased last week, and I have to say he is a good traveling buddy! I was nervous about getting him through security at the airport because he is a Garden Gnome and has a small stake coming out of his feet...minor details. Anywho, he made it through and went on his first Minor League Baseball excursion, and had some fun pit stops along the way....

I flew to Memphis Friday and got upgraded to first class. The whole time I am sitting there thinking "I wish I was on a longer flight so I could enjoy this a little more" Regardless, it was nice. Once I arrived in Memphis I went to go see the king himself - Elvis :) It was really neat to see Elvis' house. It's a little strange to walk through and see where he ate, plates he used, the piano he played hymns on the morning of his death, etc. The racquetball court is the most interesting place though, as it displays most of his platinum records. My camera battery died (go figure) so I found this picture online so you could see what I mean...He was quite an accomplished man!

I also walked through a room that housed well over 50 of Elvis' jumpsuits. It was so neat to look at the detail on all of them and how heavy they must have been....no wonder he sweat so much when he performed!

Gharry & I enjoyed our visit to Graceland, and I am glad I can say I've been there....

In front of Graceland
Gaudy living room...right before my camera died

The rest of the weekend was driving and baseball. Not too much fun to right about...hopefully the rest of my trips will have something fun -like Graceland- so you will have something worth reading.

Thank you, thank you very much......

I am going to be so happy when September is here!! This summer, my travel is going to kick my tail. June will really be the rough month, as it's a lot of coming & going which is hard. It's much easier to pack a suitcase and go somewhere to STAY for a while. But packing, unpacking, washing clothes, re-paking, unpaking, washing clothes, re-paking (you get the point) gets old. I am going to be so ready for a big vacation in September!!

OK, that is all, I just wanted to vent for a second.

Back home for four days

Here I am, back in Marietta, only getting ready to leave again on Friday. This time I will be flying from Atlanta to Memphis, go to the Red Birds' game there and drive to Nashville for a Sounds game and AIG picnic Saturday night. I will drive home from Nashville Sunday just in time to start the work week over again...oh, the joys of weekend travel.

Update from my last blog: I ended up buying a small camera at Target in California because I needed to take pictures at my event. Lucky for me, my little sister Elizabeth is in the market for a camera and might buy it. I only took NINE pictures on it...good as new :) I added some pictures below so you can see what the game was like Friday night.

Also, I know it's a little late, but Happy Mother's Day to all the moms...I have such an amazing mother with the world's biggest heart. Thanks, Mom, for being so fabulous and such a great example of love and friendship. I love you! I also have two wonderful grandma's who I would also like to wish a Happy Mother's Day to! They are both so loving and kind and fun to be around...I hope your Mother's Day was special. I love you!

I'm in....

California.

I am totally bummed that I forgot my camera but I am thrilled to be here enjoying such beautiful weather & seeing all of my friends from work :) On Friday I will be driving from where I am now, Larkspur (just north of SanFrancisco) to San Jose (just south of San Francisco) for one of my AIG picnics. I love these events because I get to meet the agents we're doing these events for and get their candid on how the sponsorship is working for their business. I realize this may sound very boring to some people, but I like knowing that all of the work we have put into this program, and all of the money AIG has spent has been worth it...haha, this is assuming they give rave reviews when we see them!

OK, back to work...hope you're all well...all three of you that read this :)
