30 Day Challenge: Day 22

Day 22-Favorite city

I have so many cities that I love....here are some of my favorites:

- Paris, France
- San Francisco, CA

- Savannah, GA

- Cape Town, South Africa

and last, but certainly not least....

- Atlanta, GA

what can I say, I love my city!

guess who's back...and ready to make some Shutterfly Christmas cards!

I have been out of town with the fam for Thanksgiving and have been blogless, but I am back :)))

I have seen this promo on several other blogs and wanted to make sure and share the awesome deal going on with Shutterfly for bloggers!  Do you use Shutterfly?  [you should if you don't]  We used Shutterfly for our wedding guest book; I made a photobook of our engagement pictures and had guests sign around the photos (it was a huge hit!!):

Have you looked at their photo Christmas cards?!  I love, love, love Christmas cards and boy do they have some very very cute ones this year!  I can't decide which to pick.  We'll be using a wedding photo for our cards, so I want to get one that looks good with my favorite wedding snapshot :)) Here are some of my favorites:

They have so many great items on their website that you can use as gifts...not just for Christmas, but for any other occasion!  Calendars, birthday cards, custom coffee mugs, you name it!  All of it is affordable & great quality!  If you're getting married anytime soon and don't have a guest book, I recommend doing the photobook; what a fun memory!!  Shutterfly saves you time and money :)

30 Day Challenge: Day 20

Day 20-Nicknames

I have only been given a few over the years, and I think the main reason is that the name I go by is a nickname; my legal name is Christina.  The one nickname I am not a fan of is Chris.  There are some people in the world who call me this & can get away with it (b/c i love them) but if we're not close, please don't call me Chris. HA ;)

Others include:
chrissi-poo
tina
chrikki
boo boo

That is about it...like I said, I don't have many.  Easy peasy post here folks ;)

30 Day Challenge: Day 19

Day 19-Something you miss

Right now it's dreary here, so I miss warm sunny days......

photo from Google

I also miss laying by/being in the pool......

Most of the other things I miss are from my childhood.  Certain pets, being young and dumb naive to the dangers and problems of the world.  Things like naps, recess & summer vacation!!!

photo from Google

...oh to be young again ;)

30 Day Challenge: Day 15, 16, 17 & 18

Woops, looks like I went on a blogging hiatus this weekend!  Work has been busy, busy, and life has been too.  We kept our nephew Jakson all day Friday and then had a garage sale Saturday, and then watched both Jaks and Tinsley Mae be dedicated at their church Sunday. Whew....long and wonderful weekend!  Now time to catch up....

Day 15-Bible verse
I have so many I could list here.  I love Bible verses....isn't God good!?  Here is the one I look at daily just above my desk:
"My grace is sufficient for you, My strength is made perfect in weakness." 2 Cor. 12:9

Day 16-Dream house
Pretty much every HGTV Dream Home is my dream home...so far my favorite of theirs was the one in the mountains of North Carolina,

but I also loved the one in Colorado

the beautiful bedrooms in New Mexico....

ugh,  the list could go on, and on, and on....here are a few other pictures I have saved of design elements I love:

Day 17-Something you're looking forward to
Christmas :))))

Day 18-Something you regret

I try not to live with regret, but I typically regret when I make a major out of a minor...I hate when I make something small (as simple as dishes going in the dishwasher...ugh) into something so big.  I just want to continue to better my life, and if there is something I feel regret towards, I try to learn from it.  Some of the best lessons I have learned in life I learned because I made a mistake.  PTL for His grace!!

Day 14-A picture you love (of course it can't be JUST ONE)

These two are from the second best day of my life.  The first because I had no clue what was coming to me, and the second because  it shows just how happy this man makes me :)

Our honeymoon was incredible.....my man, a beach, lots of food & adult bevies what more could I want?!

my family....we're huge, we're loud, we're crazy & I wouldn't have it any other way!

One more from THE best day of my life.....

30 Day Challenge: Day 12

Day 12-What you believe

Call me a hopeless romantic, but I believe in "happily ever after".  I know life isn't a fairytale, but I do believe you can find happiness with one person for the rest of your life (if you're willing to work for it).

I believe that God sent His Son, Jesus to die on a cross for our sins, and that we are all sinners, in need of our savior.

I believe in Santa (mom always said if you don't he won't come!).

Although I didn't treasure this truth when I was younger, I believe my father's daily inspiration to his kids as we left for school, "Happiness is a choice!!"

I believe you can achieve anything you set your mind to and work hard for.

I am sure I could come up with more but life is crazy right now....hopefully you enjoyed these at least ;)

30 Day Challenge: Day 11

Day 11 - Favorite TV shows

I watch too much TV...thanks to my DVR where I can record anything and watch it later.  Here are some of my favorites:
i miss Rob Lowe this season!

Zoila makes the show what it is ;)

loved her in ER, now love her in The Good Wife

This has been on the favorite list for a while

LOVE this show.... cutie little Jabbar wasn't in the picture above, so here he is below (I hope that if I have boys they have his hair):

Giuliana & Bill...one celebrity couple I would seriously like to be friends with.  They keep it real on the show & are so entertaining together.  Now I need to read their new book.

30 Day Challenge: Days 9 & 10

Day 9-A picture of your friends

I realize I am bias when I say this, but I have the most wonderful friends in the whole world.  Through think and thin, for richer or poorer, for better or for worse (oh wait, are these vows?!) they are always there.  I have known most of them for 10+ years, and some for almost 20...wow, we're getting old!

Here are just a few pictures of some of my favorite ladies....did I mention my friends were smokin' hot too?  Well, they are ;)

Day 10-Something you're afraid of

This is a tough one...I try not to be afraid of much but trying doesn't always help. I know who is in control of my life, and where I will be in the end, and I try to trust Him daily to relieve any fears.  Now, that being said, I could easily be in fear of A LOT because I fear things I can't always control.  I have a very real fear of house fires, and what would happen...would I be home?  would I get out?  If I wasn't home, who would get Gus out?!  UGH.

See, this is why I can't even stop to think about this.

I also fear not being a good enough wife or sister or daughter or friend or employee.  I never, ever, want to let people down.  In all honestly, I fear this & struggle with this daily.  So much for being private on my blog. HA.

Other than those way too serious for a Sunday night fears, I fear running out of gas when I push my reliable Honda to the very last mile, I fear missing a good sale because I am so cheap, I fear burning dinner.  These last few are silly, I know this....I just didn't want to end on too deep of a note & have people not want to read my stuff anymore ;)

And that wraps up days 9 & 10. I hope you've had a great weekend!
