28 weeks

How far along: 28 weeks

How big is your baby: almost 3lbs, about the size of a small cabbage

Sex: BOY!

Maternity clothes: almost everything I wear!  The more stretch and give the clothes have, the better!

Stretch marks: still don’t have any yet & definitely praying they don’t make an appearance anytime soon!  Thankful for cocoa butter!

Movement: Feeling him so much more frequently now! I love it!!

Sleep: Not sleeping well, mostly just getting up to pee a lot.

Symptoms: Crazy emotions, forgetfulness, crazy emotions (did I just say that?), Braxton hicks

Best moment this week: buying Max his first set of Mickey ears at Disney!  I can’t wait for us to bring him back!

Food cravings: Not nearly as much as the first trimester; still the occasional red meat craving and sometimes fruit.

Food aversions: chicken…thank goodness it’s nothing more

Labor signs: not yet

Belly button in or out: in, for the most part, but starting to pop.  It’s only a matter of days until that sucker is out!

What I miss: red wine, sleeping more, peeing less and running.  I really miss running!

What I'm looking forward to: Finally holding my little man, and enjoying a glass of red wine!

25 weeks

How far along: 25 weeks

How big is your baby: almost 2lbs, about the size of an eggplant

Total weight gain: 18lbs

Sex: BOY!

Maternity clothes: almost everything I wear!  The more stretch and give the clothes have, the better!

Stretch marks: not yet & praying they don’t make an appearance anytime soon!

Movement: Feeling him so much more frequently now! I love it!!

Sleep: I need more than I am getting and I am no longer sleeping through the night…guess I had to get used to that sooner or later!

Symptoms: Crazy emotions, mild cramps, forgetfulness, crazy emotions (did I just say that?)

Best moment this week: Seeing him in 3D on the ultrasound!  He is looking so much like BL!  And although I felt a little bit like I cheated to see him in 3D, I could not get enough!!  Also fun, was watching him nod yes when the ultrasound tech said “well you’re a cute little one, aren’t you?”

Food cravings: Not nearly as much as the first trimester; still the occasional red meat craving and sometimes fruit.

Food aversions: chicken…I had tried it once mixed into a dish and it was ok, but chicken alone is awful so I try to stay away!

Labor signs: not yet

Belly button in or out: in, and getting flatter.  Not sure if it will ever pop or not?

What I miss: sleeping more, peeing less and running.  I really miss running!

What I'm looking forward to: getting the nursery put together, and finally holding my little man!

Be A Party

With all of the polical noise out there, it's refreshing to step back and see it from Kid President's eyes :)

Make it a great day, and be more awesome!

Follow me Friday

This is shameless, I'll gladly admit, but I want to know how to get more followers.

What you can you seasoned bloggers with 100+ followers tell us small folks about getting a bigger audience?  Are you just that much cooler (which could totally be the case...)?  Do you participate in a ton of link up parties?  What is your secret?  I have been resting nicely with just over 90 followers for a while now and would love to kick it up a notch and pass that 100 mark but I don't know how!  ....help me :)

I mean, just look at how normal I am...wouldn't you want to follow me?

Kidding, but seriously, I would love your helpful hints :)

My Very Instgramed Life

I've mentioned it on here before that I take too many pictures with my phone and not nearly enough with an actual camera {can someone tell me what we did before cellphones with cameras?!}, and this past weekend was no different!  Hard to believe, but I turned the big 2-9 over the long weekend, and I did something to celebrate every. single. day.  Yay for me :) Sorry for my husband who had to watch me eat cake, cake and more cake.  Poor man. Don't be fooled, though, he enjoyed it too!

Saturday we crossed something off of my 30 before 30 list {but I will post about that more later...}
We shared this special occation with great friends, great views and GREAT cupcakes!

My fabulous parents also made it out for the trek!
....how great are these two?! Man, I am blessed :)

....and then Momma Mel photo-bombed us.  HA!

No birthday would be complete without two of my favorite things: MINI and HARIBO!!

Sunday we ate at one of my favorite local places, Seed Kitchen & Bar.  WooHoo, so yummy!! Thanks to Tan Tan and Mase for attending, Mase for going splity-splity with me on our two dinners and both of you for calling and having my name on my menu!  What a fun, special touch for a fabulous evening!  Again, so blessed...
do you see more CAKE?! I do :) This one was a peach crumb cake, and it was amazeballs!

And no weekend would be complete without a little spray paint!  Anyone who knows BL and me, knows we have a case of "clash of the styles" in our home.  Needless to say, my sweet husband lets me win most battles because he says I care about things more than he does (thank goodness!), which means his "treasures" are usually trashed by yours truly.  Poor man.  However, with the guidance of several sweet friends, I was going to give BL's beloved bronze rhino lamp a revamp and see if I still hate it.  Alas, my friends, I have a rhino I, too, can adore!  This gem will most certainly be used in little man's nursery :)  I don't think BL is crazy about the spray paint usage, but happier that Mr. Rhino will still live on in our hearts home.
And there you have it.....a weekend documented just a few days late :) Hope you're making it a great week where you are!
