30 Day Challenge: Day 14

Day 14-A picture you love (of course it can't be JUST ONE)

These two are from the second best day of my life.  The first because I had no clue what was coming to me, and the second because  it shows just how happy this man makes me :)

Our honeymoon was incredible.....my man, a beach, lots of food & adult bevies what more could I want?!

That's right folks, my sweet husband went and purchased new shoes two days before our wedding.  The shoes looked great.....from the top.  When we were packing to leave the hotel Sunday morning, I noticed that the price tag was still on the bottom of his shoe.  Normally this wouldn't matter, except for the fact that we took communion during the ceremony, and the bottom of his shoes were open for all to see!!!  We got a little giggle out of this for sure!

Anywho, we had a beautiful ceremony.  It was performed by the minister at the church I grew up going to, and the church BL and I are about to switch back to.  We did not get married in any church that was significant to us other than it's location directly across the street to the reception location.  Regardless, it was a stunning venue.  I loved it!!

My father gave me away and his only rule for all three of his girls is that we wear a veil and he will raise it to give us away.  This was a very meaningful moment!  

We opted for the traditional service with a unity candle and Lord's Supper.  The candle was great (I DIY-ed the main pillar candle with material from my flower girl's dress.  

(thought I had dripped wax on my dress....I was checking to be sure)

In other news, it's raining a lot in ATL today.  This always puts me in such a blah mood!! I need some good pick-me-up music to make this better.  For serious...now time to peruse my iTunes.  Make it a great day!

PS--Just created "The Weather Girls" Pandora Station.... Pointer Sisters up first....this day is getting better already!!  I'm channeling my inner Jessie Spano "I'm so excited....."

I have a confession.  It may be silly to some, but it's the truth.  Here goes: I am obsessed with my sisters.  They are two of my most favorite women in the whole world.  They have put up with my crap shenanigans for over 24 years.  They are beautiful, inside and out.  They have husbands that are so wonderful & perfect for them.  They have adorable little boys (a girl, too, in FOUR days!!!) that just make Aunt Sis' heart melt!  They are true advice givers, crap-callers, laugh-inducing, hug-giving, God-fearing, fun-loving and STUPENDOUS little sisters, and I am blessed to have them as my own :)


Now, all that said, here are some of my favorite pictures with my sisters from my wedding.....and some with momma too, because after all, we learned all we are from her.

I have decided I am going to post pictures on my blog by "theme" so as to avoid a picture overload.  Today I have given you just two of my favorites, next post I will do just me & my girls, next BL & his boys, then just ceremony, post-ceremony....you get the point.  This might bore you to tears but it's great for me to gather (and widdle down) just my favorites.

jumping out of my skin

So I think the term "jumping out of my skin" is normally used for anxiety, or being overemotional, or people on loads of meds (confession: I Googled it), however, I like to think of it as in "I am so excited I can hardly stand it".  Right now, I am JUMPING OUT OF MY SKIN....can't sleep (stayed up returning emails until 2:30AM), can't stop thinking about wedding, marriage, wedding, marriage, wedding, honeymoon, honeymoon, honeymoon (woop, woop), marriage, wedding....the (redundant) list goes on, and on, and on.  I like to think of it as a huge combination if the following things:

• Christmas Eve as an eight year old (ok, who am I kidding, I still feel this way as a 27 year old too)
• the night you lose your tooth & you know the tooth fairy will come
• the night before school starts
• the day before a big vacation
• the week before you begin the rest of your life with your best friend......wow

Yep, it is safe to say that I am thrilled.  My wonderful mother has done EVERYthing in her power to ensure that this week will be as stress-free as possible, and I am beyond thankful for her.  She has helped all three of us plan wonderful weddings.  She's quite a lady.

hello, dark hair

This past weekend I had a "something old, something new" shower with my best girlfriends and their mommas...I am so blessed!  It was a beautiful shower with such fun vintage things, and I have to say that I do have the best friends in the whole world.  I couldn't be where I am today without them.  Thanks ladies :)  

Also to my little sisters...they know me like no one else knows me, and life would not be the same without them!  They are amazing mommas and amazing wives...I hope I can be just like them :)

OK, when did this post turn into an acceptance speech!?  HAHA :)  Time to get back to work...Happy Monday!!
