Friday Letters {8}

 my sweet baby boy this morning, just happy as can be.... 

Dear Max, thank you for completing my world.  I had no clue how a mother's love felt, but I had an idea or two, and you blew those out of the water.  You are everything we dreamed of and more.  I love you to the moon & back.  Dear friends & family, thank you for the meals, visits, love & support!  We are so blessed by each of you.  Dear REM cycle, maybe one day we will meet again?  I forget what it feels like to actually enter you, but alas, I will take whatever sleep I can get & savor the sleepless moments with my boy.  After all, I know you will return to my life once he is sleeping through the night.  Dear Veronica Roth, thanks for keeping me occupied during feedings and keeping me up when I do have a chance to sleep.  Your books are just what I needed {have you heard of DIVERGENT & INSURGENT?!  If you like Hunger Games, you will love these...}.  Dear Mother's Milk tea, thanks for working {TMI perhaps, but if you know what I mean, you know what I mean}.

Friday Letters {7}

Dear Max,

I am thankful beyond words for the opportunity to be your mom.  James 1:17 tells us that every good and perfect gift comes from above and we know that you are straight from heaven as a gift to all who will know you.  It’s truly amazing to know that someone so tiny, who has yet to leave a single footprint on this earth, can already bring so much joy. 

Our road to meeting you hasn’t been an easy one, bringing along many tears and great stress.  As with many trying situations it has also been rewarding, bringing us closer to the Lord and to one another; leaving us no option but to trust in God’s plan for our lives and our marriage.  You, my child, are impacting people’s lives before we even see your sweet face.  You are a miracle; our sweet, perfect answer to so many prayers spoken by so many loved ones and dear friends.  When people hold you and look into your eyes they will be reminded of God’s perfect plan and His sovereignty in each of our lives.  I am overwhelmed with joy and anticipation at the thought of holding you and kissing your sweet cheeks.  

The next few hours/days/weeks will be filled with so many emotions as we prepare for your birth, and my heart feels so full it might explode…I can only imagine having you in my arms will be the most overwhelmingly wonderful moment of my life.  I cannot wait to watch you grow, see you learn new things, make people smile and {most importantly} know Jesus.  Daddy & I pray you will allow the Lord to use you in a monumental way, just as He is already doing.

Friday Letters {6}

Dear sisters, thanks for being so wonderful.  I am super blessed to have the world's best sisters & sister-in- laws. Dear Friday, thanks for showing up.  Dear Kitchenaid Mixer, you are amazeballs.  Nothing I bake would come out nearly as wonderful if it weren't for you.  I {heart} you.  Dear 2012, where have you gone?  Pretty sure it was just my birthday, and now it's suddenly mid-November.  Can you slow down just a pinch so I can get things ready for the baby!?  Dear Max, I am so excited to kiss your cheeks in just five weeks...or less?  You have already blessed my life so much and I couldn't be happier to be your momma!    Dear BL, thanks for dealing with my crazy mood swings, my insane eating & my nesting rants.  You're my best friend, and my most favorite person in the whole world.  Thank you for being there and helping so much!  Max is going to love you!

Friday's Letters {5}

Dear Friday, took you a while to get here, but I am oh-so-glad you've graced us with your presence.  Dear Max, your appetite is almost uncontrollable...I am pretty sure you might arrive into this world as a 10 pounder ;) On a serious note, I canNOT wait to see your handsome little face!  I have so many kisses to give you, sweet boy!  Dear Lesley, you're talent combined with sweet spirit is unlike any other.  I am blessed to know you.  Thank you for the shoot yesterday, I am eager to see the results :)  Dear sniffles, can you go away?  I hate feeling a cold coming on.  Oh, and take this sore throat with you when you go.  Dear follower who left me, sorry I bored you so much that you had to go.  Dear last few weeks of pregnancy, I look forward to being kind to you with donuts and cake.  Maybe some french fries too.  Dear John Legend, thanks for ruining my weekend with your tour cancellation.  Wish you had planned your schedule a little better so I could have a romantic night out with my husband, but I understand...you're a creative, musical genius with a beautiful voice.  I will wait until next year if I have to.  Dear lunch, get. in. my. belly.

Friday's Letters {4}

Dear ligaments, I  really wish you'd cut me some slack here.  I realize you're supporting a growing kiddo in there but some relief would be nice! Dear self, get better about taking and posting pregnancy shots.  You'll be oh-so glad you have something fun to look back on.  Dear glucose test, you were horrible to me, and if I didn't pass you I will be one sad, sick lady.  Please, oh please, be kind to me with your results.  

Dear french fries, what did I ever do to deserve your glorious yumminess?  PS, why do you have to tempt me so often and be so high in the ol' calories? Dear loved ones, words can't express how grateful BL and I are for your prayers and well-wishes for our little one.  We've had some uncertainty along this road, and we're over halfway there!  Thanks for loving our little guy so much to walk alongside us to pray for him.  You're all legends!  Dear sweet, handsome husband, don't know what I would do without you.  Thanks for putting up with my cranky preggo brain and for making sure I have enough pillows every night to actually get some sleep.  You are my favorite.  Ever.  Dear blog friends, I am thankful for each one of you!  I love the blog world and hope this little place I call 'home' can continue to grow.

Friday, oh Friday, how I love thee...

Dear weatherman, you're exaggerating about this 108 degree weather coming tomorrow, right?! HOLY SMOKES....that is H-O-T-T kind of hot!  Dear sweet baby in my belly, I love you more than words could express.  I am so excited to meet you it's sick...December will be here soon enough, I guess, but I am really excited!! Dear pregnancy, thanks for going easy on me these last few weeks.  You're making going to and staying at work a whole lot easier, and that is oh-so appreciated!  PS, please stay this way ;) Dear Holly & Jim, I can't wait to celebrate your marriage tomorrow night!!  It will be beautiful and lovely and all other wonderful things.  I love weddings.  Dear BL, thanks for being a legend of a husband.  You treat me better than I deserve, especially on my moody, err CRAZY, days when I should be locked up.  You are my rock and I love you.  Dear 2:00pm,  get here faster...I need my weekend to start already....

Dear Oreo Fudge Cream Cookies, why must you look so enticing on the commercial?!  I want some. Right. Now.  Dear Giuliana & Bill, thanks for being such an amazeballs couple.  Pretty sure I want to be best friends with you.  Dear Momma Mel, I forgot my camera is still in your purse.  Ergo, I can't post our adorable NYC pics.  Stay tuned, they will come soon!  Dear blog friends, I am thankful for you.  I wish we all lived closer together.  Dear weekend, thank you! Thank you! Thank you!  I really needed you to arrive about 4 days ago, but I'll welcome you with open arms today none-the-less. :)

Dear Atlanta, I've loved being here for a few days, but I am excited to get out once again today :) Dear Sisters & Momma, get ready for a fun weekend together! We will eat too much, sleep too little and laugh too hard. I. Can't. Wait!  Dear BL, thanks for continually holding down the house while I am away.  You really are the best!  Dear mother nature, thanks for warming back up yesterday...can you please send the warm weather up the coast to NYC?! Dear blog friends, thanks for making me smile...it's amazing how friendship can warm the heart, even if its just through laptop keys.  Dear Alicia Silverstone, bird-feeding your kid is strange.  To each his own, but that is just plain odd.  Dear friends, I will not be bird-feeding my kiddos.  Sorry to disappoint.
